Nor Cal Trucking Hiring for Dispatcher at Live Oak, CA Full Time

Dispatcher is responsible for routing and dispatching a fleet of company drivers locally and for providing continuous support to that work group. The dispatcher arranges schedules for drivers, communicates with the shipping department to ensure timeliness of loads readiness for shipment. The dispatcher is responsible for maximizing all truckloads by combining multiple orders. The dispatch team schedule inbound and outbound freight daily and maintain communication with interested parties throughout the delivery process.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Dispatch and monitor the movements of customer’s freight
• May makes route adjustments or accommodations for deliveries, based on time of departure, destination, and expected time of return.
• Duties customarily involved in all aspects of pickups and deliveries and tracks shipments from inception through completion.
• In charge of resolving any issues that may affect the scheduled times for pickup or delivery. These problems normally include mechanical problems with trucks, delays due to traffic or weather challenges or changes requested by the customer.
• Provide support to drive team department, including but not limited to communicating new initiatives, providing coaching, training drivers on how to utilize systems.
• Audit HOS logs, DVIR records, DOT Files to ensure program compliance.
• Follow all required safety policies and DOT laws.
• Other projects and responsibilities, as assigned.
• Update information and systems as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
