Nomad Temporary Housing Hiring for Director of Accounting Job at San Diego, CA Full Time

Nomad is a global leader in temporary housing. We serve over 1000 of the Fortune 2000 largest corporations in providing serviced apartments in over 90 countries. We have offices in San Diego, Phoenix, London, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. We have additional staff located in Sweden, Australia, and Singapore.

The Director of Accounting reports to the vice president of operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years of management experience in accounting. CPA preferred, not required. Four year degree in accounting is required.

Your role at Nomad

Oversee the global operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable handling rental invoices in numerous currencies, handling accounts receivables invoicing in multiple currencies. All accounting is handled in our Rancho Bernardo area home office for our various global business units.

Maintains system of accounting policies and procedures, and insuring tight business controls.

Work with large clients to insure A/R does not age beyond contract terms.

Audit all rental invoice and hotel folios timely to insure accuracy of payments.

Oversee internal audit of all new reservations, handling of rental credits, and additional rental charges.

Maintain and manage bank accounts in China, Hong Kong, United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

Treasury and cash management to ensure company’s cash flow.

Manage intercompany transactions and financial statements.

Manage all payroll functions for various business units in USA, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.

Work with external accounting firms in USA, Hong Kong, and Europe to insure timely and accurate tax returns, VAT payments, and governmental reporting.

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Eight years management experience in accounting

Excellent management and supervisory skills

Hands-on attitude to assist and dive deep into various areas and functions to support your teams.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $75,000.00 – $92,000.00 per year
