MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule all final mile appointments
• Coordinate delivery routes for maximum speed to client
• Ensures materials shipped are verified against pertinent documentation
• Recommends and assists in implementing operating procedures and promotes continual improvement within the department and the company
• Follows shipping methods for materials using the operations procedures; Resolves emergent issues for expedited delivers to the customer and / or job site
• Coordinates import / export of goods by scheduling containers to meet shipping demands
• Monitors the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of inbound and outbound shipments
• Maintains working relationship with transportation representatives, vendors, and suppliers to ensure cost control and competitiveness.
• Schedules and tracks all inbound and outbound shipments
• Identifies roadblocks to processes and procedures and offers suggestions for improvement

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong organizational and time management skills required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Inventory / Shipping software required
• Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to follow and issue verbal and written instructions and to direct the work of others to meet customer needs
• Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple and changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Great attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to take initiative

Typical work week is Monday – Friday, 9am Eastern to 5 : 30pm Eastern.

Some weekends and overtime will be required
