NMC Health is currently seeking an on site Medical Transcriptionist/EMR Tech in our Health Information Management department. In this role, you will be accountable for the accurate transcription of dictated medical s(history, physical, discharge summary, operative s, consultation, x-ray s, progress notes, etc). Must use knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology to interpret voices with many accents. Abstract data from radiology requisitions completed by physicians to complete a . Occasionally may need to transcribe non-medical documents such as letters. Must be responsible for retrieving medical records of patient’s on readmission when clerical staff not on duty. Requires accepting responsibility for various duties such as assist in the orientation and training of new employees. As a Medical Transcription/EMR Tech you will have access to the medical records of each patient, transcribing all dictated s of history, examinations and treatments. The disclosure of this confidential information could be detrimental to the patient and hospital and could lead to litigation. Must demonstrate ability to work with physicians and other health-care providers in a highly professional setting. Cooperation, flexibility and resourcefulness required in dealing with hospital personnel and medical staff.

This is an onsite position with no remote opportunities.

High School Education or GED required with medical transcription preferred

Certified medical transcriptionist (CMT) preferred but not required
