NKT is expanding in the UK and is now looking for an HR colleague to be part of our exciting journey.
Working closely with our international customers, we develop, manufacture and install efficient, environmentally friendly, and technologically advanced high-voltage cables, (HVC), for land and offshore applications worldwide. NKT provides flexible and reliable cable solutions for a sustainable, renewable, and powerful world.

Take lead on all HR-related topics
NKT is expanding in the UK and ramping up the team in Teesside. We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to be responsible for a wide range of HR-related topics such as drafting of offer letters, compliance, benefits, input to payroll, immigration coordination and more. The role will be the HR go-to-person at NKT in the UK, working together with different stakeholders in the UK and other European locations.

We are growing our footprint in the UK, and consequently our UK team will grow in numbers. As a result, a large part of the HR Generalist´s responsibility will be to lead full scale recruitment processes, including posting of job ads and interviewing of candidates, as well as onboarding of new team members.

The primary tasks will be:

• Support leaders in all HR processes in the UK
• HR business partnering
• Administer of offer letters, benefits and employment terms
• Manage recruitment processes, from A-Z
• General office administration
• Continuous improvement of local HR policies and implementing across the UK organisation
• Administer and govern, in collaboration with your colleagues in the HR team, HR operations in e.g. paryroll, pension, health care etc.

The HR Generalist will be part of a highly skilled and multi-disciplinary team in Teesside, working closely together with the Head of UK & Ireland, and reporting to the HR Director of DK/UK/NO. The role will also be a part of our global Human Resource team of approximately 60 people placed in various locations in primarily Europe.

Service-minded and driven team player
To thrive in this role the ideal candidate will have excellent collaboration and communication skills and will be able to manage a wide range of tasks, covering many areas of the business, working with people at different levels in the organization. In-depth or superuser knowledge in SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage. The right candidate is organized, service-minded, and supportive and will tackle their day-to-day duties with energy and professionalism.

The ideal candidate’s background and experience should include the following:

• Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or similar
• 3-5 years’ of experience from a similar role
• Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors
• In-depth experience with MS Office
• In-depth knowledge of employment law matters in UK
• Excellent collaboration skills
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
