In this role, you will :

• Collaborate with colleagues and key stakeholders in a team environment
• Design desktop software and website user experiences
• Work closely with :
• UX, CX, and Marketing Analytics strategists to understand customers, and base your designs on data
• Product Management to understand business and product needs
• Help manage and evolve the NinjaTrader digital design system for web and desktop
• Lead the design of product offering through the creation of wireframes & mockups, and iterating based on stakeholder and client feedback
• Understand organization goals, the competitive landscape, and technical capabilities to apply to designs
• Stay up to date on your design skills, as well as UX and technology trends
• Consult cross-functionally through brand visual design across the organization
• Meet deliverables within agreed timeframes
• Lead the design of projects throughout the entire lifecycle from concept through definition, strategy, and implementation, including creation of wireframes & mockups
• Confidently and clearly communicate with and present your work to internal team members through the c-suite, and external vendors, answering questions and articulating information
• Uncover and understand user needs, goals and behaviors and translate them into thoughtful user-centric products and features
• Understand organization goals and technical capabilities to apply to designs
• Partner with UX and CX strategists to understand and apply user research results, and identify opportunities for streamlining and creating new processes and experiences across desktop and web platforms and other interactive touch points
• Help develop and deliver scalable design processes, tools, and practices for governance, workflows, and documentation for sharing

Key Job Requirements :

• 5+ years of UX and / or UI design experience
• A portfolio demonstrating a range of work styles and techniques across web and desktop applications
• Mastery of UX design fundamentals and advanced concepts alike including wireframing, prototyping, journey maps, user flows, and conversion-focused design
• Deep experience in design tools such as Figma, Axure, Sketch, and InVision
• Self-motivated and able to easily execute without ample direction with a proven record of successfully leading project UX from concept to completion
• Able to effectively manage workloads and technical requirements to meet deliverables within agreed timeframes
• Comfortable managing projects where solutions are not well defined & priorities evolve
• Adaptable, empathetic, and solution-oriented
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to think critically and efficiently multitask
• Must be able to quickly learn and adapt
• Strong conceptual thinker can define strong new approaches to new or existing processes and continue to build on those with numerous strong concepts
• Strong leader and collaborator can confidently work with and clearly communicate with leads, directors, and above

Bonus Points :

• Both software design agency and in-house product team experience
• Experience leading small UX design teams
• Adobe products (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
• Experience using front-end code, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
• Design system management experience
