The role is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager – Sales with the day to day financial management of the Nine Network Sales department. This includes the month end processes as well as liaising with department personnel to assist with the operation of departmental functions.

Day to day, you will be:

Assisting the Finance Manager with:

• Month end duties including; journals, staff cost analysis, P&L analysis, forecasting.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly department results and explanations of variances to budgets.
• Assist with the preparation of annual departmental budgets including salary costs, direct costs and internal recharges.
• Financial year end and half year end requirements including audit packs.
• Administration including; sales campaign billings, costs allocations and reconciliations; expense coding & checking, vendor invoice coding & checking, travel booking approval & liaison with department heads.
• Payroll and HR paperwork requirements for Sales departments.
• Assist with processing of intercompany transactions.

Essential experience & skills

• Accounting degree
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to work in a team under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual

Desirable experience & skills

• Ability to work with and communicate with stakeholders from a non-financial background.
• TM1 & Peoplesoft experience.
• Intermediate Excel
