WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate for this Finance Governance + Control , Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Controlling Director position will have an ability to create strong relationships among Global Controlling, Purpose, Legal and other stakeholders. Our team is responsible for partnering with the Purpose, External Reporting and Legal teams to align ESG reporting processes and controls within the framework to include ESG data into Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings. To achieve common goals, we add value and create positive energy to build and maintain trust with our business partners as we implement new ESG disclosures.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

In this role you will play a key role in driving our ESG reporting strategy. We have a strong history of ESG reporting and in this role, you will partner closely with the Purpose, Legal and External Reporting teams to understand risks and implement controls to support mandatory disclosures in our SEC filings. These disclosures will be subject to controls attestations and validation by external auditors. You’ll capitalize on your deep understanding of risk and controls, SEC reporting rules, demonstrating a passion for learning new and emerging ESG reporting frameworks, to drive cross functional collaboration and implement controls related to new SEC disclosures related to ESG. Maintaining appropriate industry expertise and technical knowledge, you will translate and communicate effectively to partners in non-technical language, including being the key point of contact for external auditors. You’ll also lead and participate in steering committees as needed.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report to the Senior Director, Finance Governance + Control. You’ll build and maintain credible and dependable cross-functional relationships, continually making valuable contributions to our team and the teams of our partners within Controlling, Investor Relations, Legal and Purpose, among others.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field or combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years total experience in risk and controls roles with a focus on Internal Control over Finance Reporting.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity managing both people and projects.
• Experience in performing multiple projects and working with varying team members.
• Experience and understanding of finance and controlling processes.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues, seek information and impacts, and problem-solve.
• Advanced ability to balance multiple and contending priorities and requests.
• Strong ability to develop high profile, and influential relationships across teams, functions, and layers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management.
• Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance.
