Job Description
We’re looking for an innovative and passionate VP of Human Resources to strategically partner with our Consumer Insights Leaders in driving the ongoing development of our organisational design, people development programs and employee engagement. Consumer Insights is a global business unit, with its focus primarily on Europe and Asia. You’ll be actively engaged in strategic initiatives that are critical to the success of the CI business. Your work can redefine what’s possible for both our employees and your career. With a shared passion for excellence, and leading a small team of HR professionals, you’ll inspire trust in your stakeholders as you deliver game-changing HR solutions and a measurable global impact. Your work will matter.
Additionally, as a member of the Global HR Leadership team, you will be part of our path of continuous improvement, always thinking about how we can move the HR function at NielsenIQ to the next level – delighting our stakeholders, creating a uniquely positive employee experience, pursuing progressive and innovative approaches to retaining and developing the best talent in the most effective ways.
Ideally located near one of our major offices in Europe (Oxford, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, other locations also possible), and working with your team, the broader HR team, and business stakeholders:
Organisational strategy: you will partner with key stakeholders to design and implement an effective organizational strategy and workforce plan that supports overall business goals and growth, and anticipates future needs.
Workforce architecture: you will engage with relevant business leaders and function owners to develop and roll out job families, levels, job descriptions and competencies for the global CI function, ensuring full alignment with organisational design and workforce planning to enable clarity for new and replacement hiring needs.
Business partnering: you will operate as a trusted advisor and business partner to CI leadership, contributing to business decision-making, business unit strategy development and day to day business management, as well as providing coaching to enable senior leaders to address challenges and leverage opportunities in their businesses, with their direct reports and wider teams as necessary. You will confidently and collaboratively challenge leaders when necessary.
Transformation and change leadership: you will play a leadership role in enabling change across the business, from planning to implementation, by leveraging proven change leadership techniques and communication approaches, and coaching leaders on effective change strategies and skills to ensure strong and lasting results from change initiatives.
People development: you will coach and partner with leaders on talent reviews, assessment, development discussions and development programs leveraging content, templates and materials from the Diversity, Talent & Culture COE. You’ll design and deliver leading edge practices to build organisational capability; analyse organisational strengths/weaknesses and drive the right solutions to address business needs.
Employee engagement: you will be a key driver of the development of a strong, well-aligned culture, coaching leaders on the skills required to foster high levels of collaboration, engagement, motivation and retention among their teams.
HR excellence: you will partner with the relevant COE’s and local HR teams to ensure that they have all the information they need to effectively execute relevant HR programs and policies for the CI teams around the world (e.g. recruiting, on-boarding/off-boarding, compensation and payroll, benefits, performance management).
People metrics and insights: you will work with the People Analytics COE to ensure a cadence of relevant and concise reporting to leadership on people analytics, recruiting activity and other relevant trends.
