Approximate Duration: 3 to 6 months
Please note: This is a casual position with no guarantee of hours per week. We are requesting an availability commitment of 2 to 3 shifts per week. The incumbents in this position will be required to travel to the different vaccination sites across Niagara and work 10 hour shifts 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, Monday to Sunday. Also, majority of available work shifts will be Saturdays and Sundays each week.

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Immunization Clinic Assistant will welcome, register and direct residents and callers at the Regional Niagara Public Health clinics in a professional, knowledgeable and courteous manner. In capacity as an Immunization Clinic Assistant provide answers to general inquires about clinic operations to residents and callers through the regular maintenance of current information about mass immunization clinics including schedules and the availability of appointment times. The Immunization Clinic Assistant will be accountable to source, validate and update resident and vaccination information in appropriate Ministry database.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Completion of Grade 12 plus completion of up to one-year post-secondary education/training.
Additional training in database management, spreadsheet creation, word processing, and communications software applications.
Working knowledge of public health and COVID-19 related services and support available.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience working as a Receptionist, Office Administrator or Customer Service Representative, preferably in a municipal, public health, medical or legal office.
Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted specified license for a Class G vehicle
Must be available for shift work seven days per week including for both daytime and evening hours
SKILLS
Proficient with database maintenance and Microsoft Office applications
Experienced with general office procedures including answering phones, responding to the public, maintaining and entering data
Exceptional customer service orientation, tact and diplomacy skills necessary to respond to and liaise with residents and colleagues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Ability to focus on needs/requirements of resident or caller.
