NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group Hiring for Finance Officer Job at Birkenhead, England Full Time

NHS Wirral CCG, based in Birkenhead, is responsible for a budget of £678million for the commissioning of a range of healthcare services across Wirral. We came into existence as part of the reorganisation of NHS structures undertaken in response to the Health & Social Care Act 2012. Under the new legislation, we are responsible for commissioning health services for the residents of Wirral. In doing this we:

• Perform our duties efficiently and manage our resources effectively
• promote the values of the NHS and protect its future

The post will report to the Reporting Accountant for Commissioned Out of Hospital and provide both a Management Accounting and Invoice Processing Function supporting the payment and monitoring of all Commissioned Out of Hospital Services.

Applicants must have excellent analytical and reporting skills, be highly IT literate, used to working with different computer systems and with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. They must also be an effective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The suitably qualified individual will assist in the provision of high calibre finance service to the CCGs finance and non-finance managers.

You will be working within an evolving and forward thinking Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) who offers excellent development opportunities for staff. The CCG are a member of the North West Financial skills development network and are currently at level 3 in the North West Skills Development Network Towards Excellence Accreditation.

Office base for the position is Cheshire Lines Building, 6 Canning Street, Birkenhead, CH41 1AU. Staff must be able to travel here for training, work and meetings as and when required.
