Director of Medical Education- 6PA’s

The Board is seeking applications for the post of Director of Medical Education. This is a 6 session commitment and will be for 3 years in the first instance. I enclose a Job Description for the post for your information.

The Director of Medical Education will be expected to provide strategic oversight for the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, ensuring that NHSGGC meets the regulatory standards required of a Local Education Provider (LEP).

The post holder will ensure that Medical Education is undertaken in a collaborative manner working with Scotland Deanery and the University of Glasgow Medical School. The key aspects of this role are:

• Provide leadership for Medical Education within NHSGGC.
• Champion the teaching and training role of doctors.
• Oversee the delivery of high quality Medical Education in NHSGGC.
• Support and promote innovative teaching developments.
