We have a fantastic opportunity for an FM Finance Business Partner to join our team on a hybrid basis, with semi-regular travel to London required. The salary on offer is from £47,000 – £55,000 with a £3000 car allowance on top as well as a performance based bonus.
As part of the Finance Business Partnering team, this role works closely with the national vendor management team, regional FM finance business partners, accounts payable, operational teams and also liaises directly with external suppliers. With a key focus of ensuring a consistency in approach, compliance with the necessary financial governance and providing insight on the monthly financial results to enhance business decision making and mitigate financial risks, while continually seeking to identify opportunities for end to end process improvements.
You will lead and review all aspects of financial management of the rationalised supplier portfolio, including monthly reporting, financial planning and providing a centralised review of the month end process, and play a role in supporting and enabling the FMR processing team, providing financial guidance and training to enhance and refine the current process. This role will review and challenge (where appropriate) the monthly payments relating to rationalised suppliers ensuring appropriate financial governance is in place, and identify areas where financial processes and practises can be improved and drive through recommended and agreed improvements.
You will support the Principal FM Finance Business Partner through provision of data analysis and insight to aid in the solution to potential issues and to help with early identification of risks and opportunities, improve business decision making through detailed analysis, and develop trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. This role will enhance understanding and provide insight & transparency through development of management reporting to address emerging issues, through use of excel modelling and BI reporting, enabling analysis of key trends, drivers and the mitigation of risks.
Liaising with key stakeholders, internal & external, directly impacted by the rationalised process, in particular Heads of Operations and Chief Operating Officer is a key element to this position, as well as providing Business Partnering support to Head of Procurement & Vendor Management in financial decisions relating to vendor management by providing necessary financial analysis and advice. You will also support colleagues in the wider FM Business Partnering team by maintaining robust financial performance measurement, as well as ensure financial governance and sound financial systems are in place.
To succeed, candidates must be at least part-qualified in the finance profession (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) and have extensive knowledge of financial accounting principles and techniques. You must have an understanding of month end reporting cycles, and the ability to analyse large volumes of data for which advanced Excel skills will be necessary along with Power Query/Power BI.
You must have experience in preparing and maintaining auditable supporting schedules; developing, introducing, and improving systems; and of a working in a core financial control and reporting function.
