Accountant role with impact
An exciting position has opened for an experienced Accountant based out of our Chippendale office, Sydney. If you are looking to become an integral part of our team and want to apply your expertise in a role that requires a high level of focus on compliance, then keep reading on. Reporting to Group Finance Manager, role includes

• Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies
• Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies
• Preparing and posting paryroll journals on fortnightly basis
• General Ledger Reconciliation including Balance Sheet
• Preparation of BAS, FBT return, Payroll Tax, ABS and other statutory reporting
• Examining operating costs and organisations’ income and expenditure
• Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
• Assisting with taxation returns for Group
• Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
• Maintaining internal control systems
• Preparing daily cash flow along with 12 week rolling cash flow forecast

What we want from you

• You completed your CPA/CA/IPA/CIA (Preferred)
• You are great at communicating & influence people at all levels across the organization & functions
• You are analytical and a strong problem-solver, and you precision and accuracy in processes and data matters to you
• You are used to handle large, complex data sets, and you have advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
• You are outgoing and flexible, with the ability to multitask, prioritize workload and meet deadlines
• You have the interpersonal skills to train, mentor and guide other team members, and you step up when required
