We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to join the NEXTDC Finance team for a 12 month fixed term contract. With an asset base of over $1.9 billion, and further capital expansion plans underway, this role will provide exposure to the data centre industry and a diversity of infrastructure projects as we construct our next generation of data centres. Key responsibilities of the role will include maintenance of the statutory fixed asset register, including data integrity, processing of asset additions, transfers from work in progress, depreciation, and month end reconciliations.

• Daily Fixed asset management including maintenance of asset classes and effective lives, depreciation, additions/acquisitions, stocktakes, disposals and transfers
• Liaise with Project Accounting Team for handover of completed projects
• Monthly reconciliation of work-in-progress
• Prepare capitalisation workbooks for asset transfers from work-in-progress
• Monthly fixed asset movement schedule

• Experience in a similar position
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
• Strong Excel skills
