Nexii Building Solutions Inc. Hiring for Vice President of Manufacturing at Squamish, BC Full Time

Reporting to our EVP of manufacturing, you’ll have the opportunity to implement, manage and optimize production efficiency and capabilities to meet the tremendous demand for our product by leading our Nexii Plant. We’ll lean on you to develop strategies and systems that will grow our production capacity to its maximum potential, all while working within the cost objectives and profitability goals set by Nexii. Day to day, you’ll collaborate with our Plant production supervisors and corporate manufacturing team to build a plant that operates at its highest possible capacity in both production quantity and quality, and more importantly, a plant production system that can serve as a blueprint for all Nexii plants in the future.

Your role:

• Work with EVP of Manufacturing to establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate to Team Leads.
• Manage the manufacturing plants by working with, team leads, assigning responsibilities and following schedules.
• Monitor productivity of team members, guiding and coaching when necessary and report to EVP of Manufacturing
• Oversee safe use of equipment and direct Plant Supervisors to follow scheduled regular maintenance.
• Perform verification of production output according to specifications, schedule and present them to EVP of Manufacturing.
• Detect issues in efficiency and produce n/c action working with the Team Leads, Plant Supervisors, Engineering and suggesting improvement.
• Ensure that manufacturing and production functions are completed in accordance with established production, safety, and quality standards.
• Collaborate on lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Empower team leads to perform at optimal levels.
• Assist team leads to ensure that production flow and efficiency are maintained.
• Ensure that Nexii culture, positive attitude and respect is maintained in the plants
• Assist Plant Directors in delegating responsibility.
• Resolve productions problems by involving senior management and engineering for resolution and communicating to all team leads.

Your experience:

• Deep manufacturing plant management experience in a high-volume environment
• Continuous quality improvement experience – Toyota production experience preferred, also Lean or Six Sigma
• Turnaround experience with lower performing plants that you have been instrumental in addressing
• High level understanding of manufacturing budgets
• Demonstrated ability to lead dynamic teams in a world-class manufacturing environment under tight deadlines and heavy schedules
• Ability to develop, implement, and review manufacturing strategies at large-scale plants
• Ability to identify problems, visualize ideal solutions, and implement those solutions in the most meaningful way
• Desire to seek out more optimal methods of manufacturing, and the will to continuously evolve and shift from outdated ways to new, better ways
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
