Admissions and Student Support
Newlyn School of Art is a leading provider of art courses and year-long mentoring for artists from around the country. Based in the famous artistic colony of Newlyn in West Cornwall, the art school provides courses throughout the year and online.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to become our Admissions and Student Support. The main responsibility for this key role is to manage and provide an excellent journey through the admissions process for students.
For all long-course applicants this involves ensuring that student records, administrative and support processes are updated and delivered smoothly and efficiently, including but not limited to; co-ordination of initial enquiries, interviews, payment processes and bursaries, student support throughout the year, supporting course exhibitions and events and each student’s journey onwards to being an Alumni.
As part of the small team, you will also contribute daily to maintaining high-quality customer service face-to-face, via email and on the telephone for a range of short courses, bookings and general enquiries.
As Admissions and Student Support, your role will be varied requiring initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to maintain excellent relationships with your co-workers, the students and the teaching artists. Additionally, you will be involved with the ongoing development of Admissions and Student
Support, and you will contribute to the creation of a calendar of dates for the promotion of short and long courses and related events via social media and e-newsletters. We are looking for a positive and highly organised individual with a proven track record of administration experience who is looking for a long-term role within a team.
Essential Requirements:

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.
Salary: starting at £24,500.00 per year.
Holiday entitlement: 28 days of holiday plus paid normal bank holidays and four paid closure days at Christmas.
Other benefits: Bupa Medical insurance, £500 of Newlyn School of Art course vouchers per year.
