A collaborative approach to support all of our residents is important to us, hence building strong relationships with colleagues across all council services, including social care, health, housing and community safety is integral to the way we operate.
Reporting directly to the Corporate Director of Children and Young People, you’ll have responsibility for a broad range of services, including SEND, Access & Infrastructure, Virtual School, Education Outcomes & Partnerships, and Youth Empowerment. As a strategic leader, you’ll navigate the significant changes in the sector and, working with key partners, you’ll help define the future of education in Newham. You’ll be joining an experienced , stable and highly skilled Children’s senior leadership team who are committed to improving the lives of our children and young people.
About you
We’re looking for an inspirational senior leader with a proven track record of delivering excellent education services, who can propel Education to new heights in our borough. Politically astute and resilient, you’ll be able to gain credibility with the key stakeholders across a rich and complex education landscape. You’ll be able to empower your teams to strive for the very best outcomes, always placing children, young people and their families at the centre of everything we do.
