Newcastle College Group Hiring for Deputy Director Higher Education Quality and Standards Job at Newcastle upon Tyne, England Full Time

NCG currently has over 2,300 full and part time students studying at HE level, across an exciting range of subjects and qualifications including Foundation Degrees, Honours and Taught Masters.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the only FE organisation in possession of Taught Degree Awarding Powers and manage and co-ordinate NCG’s HE quality assurance and enhancement processes and procedures. This includes all HE provisions within NCG including the management of our Quality Improvement and Research Scholarship and Student Engagement (RSSE) teams.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated and have a strong quality background together with significant experience of promoting best practice in learning, teaching and assessment.

Specific responsibilities will include:
leading on HE quality procedures

maintenance and oversight of requirements for Taught Degree Awarding Bodies

the management activities associated with QAA and other external quality assurance agencies

oversight of two key portfolios of work: research and scholarly activity, and student partnership and engagement.

the training and development of college staff

representing NCG at local, regional and national level
