New York City Economic Development Corporation Hiring for Talent Acquisition Coordinator at New York, NY Full Time

Position Overview: The Talent Acquisition Team within our Human Resources department at NYCEDC is a strategic business partner who identifies, attracts, and hires the highest caliber of talent for the organization.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will provide general support in the day-to-day operations of the Talent Acquisition Team and will assist in streamlining and optimizing all aspects of the recruitment process. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support in all aspects of pipeline programs, including internship and fellowship programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide general assistance with recruiting efforts, such as posting job openings to career boards, sourcing candidates, scheduling phone screens and interviews, performing reference checks, and initiating the background verification process for candidates
• Prepare s on all aspects of recruitment and new hire metrics
• Coordinate and schedule interviews and contact applicants as needed throughout the interview process, ensuring a positive candidate experience and timely communication with all stakeholders
• Support NYCEDC’s campus recruitment efforts including coordination and attendance of career fairs, maintaining recruiting events calendar, and researching new campus partnership opportunities
• Assist in the recruitment and selection process for summer interns, including conducting initial screenings and scheduling interviews
• Support the development and implementation of internship and fellowship programs including establishing and maintaining partnerships with educational institutions and non-profit organizations
• Assist with new hire onboarding, which includes preparing and saving new hire data
• Act as a backup to the HR Coordinator with regard to new hire orientation, which includes preparing communications to new hires
• Support other Human Resources projects and initiatives as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
• At least one year of experience in an administrative role and/or previous internship experience in Human Resources
• Previous experience with managing candidate flow in an online applicant tracking system is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners
• Diligent follow up including communicating issues proactively
• Attention to detail and organization skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume and deadline-driven environment
• Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and their application in talent application is preferred.
• New York City residence is required within 180 days of hire
