There’s an opportunity to join a fast growing business in the Education & Training market. Having recently been acquired by a power house education group in late 2021, the future of this business is a bright one.

Under the previous stewardship, this business tripled it’s revenues since 2018 and increased the number of ‘learners’ on programme by over 40% (this is a key measure of growth in this market).

Now, having been acquired by a larger organisation, with more resources, the plan is to continue this growth and trajectory in the IT & Digital Learning space.

As they continue their growth plans, and important cog in this wheel is to hire and develop their own internal recruitment function, starting with you.

So, a quick insight to the business and the market, and then I’ll go into more detail and direction of the role….

I’ve watched this business grow exponentially over the 3 years or so, and they have become a powerhouse and one of the leading employers in their market. They are now stepping in to their next phase of growth, having recent been acquired by a multi billion £ company, their ambition to continue their dominance in the training world is now very well backed by a key player.

Apprenticeships and Further Education is a booming market at the moment. There are £millions being pumped into the sector as a whole currently, and with the Skills Gap being so vast for Technical & Digital talent across the UK, the IT & Technical side of Apprenticeships has been, and will continue to be on a steep growth curve in order to hit the objectives of reducing said skills gap.

This is a good business to join, in an ever growing niche of Digital & Technical Training, in a wider market that is seeing overwhelming amounts of funding.

Back to the role itself – Talent Acquisition Manager

Firstly, we are open to people from both Agency, and internal TA backgrounds – providing you posses that skill set of building pipelines, and engaging with candidates. Ultimately, one task of this role is to reduce (or reasonably manage) overall spend on recruitment through external parties.

hence why the business does need the person to have the ability to ‘recruit’ directly.

Bring in your own fresh ideas, across sourcing, engagement, interview process, onboarding & retention. The plans for growth are demanding, and talent in our market is becoming harder to come by.

One thing you will need for this role is a strong character (shouldn’t be too hard for us recruiters) as you will need to voice your opinions and ideas, and manage the potential puh back from managers as you improve their hiring strategy.
