Overview

NJAFP is a not-for-profit organization that has been advancing the cause of family physicians and their patients for over 50 years. Lutine Management Associates, LLC (Lutine) provides association and meetings support services to client partner associations across the United States and Internationally. Lutine partners with The New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians (NJAFP) to leverage staff in the support of its clients and to support the staffing needs of the NJAFP.

The Education Program Manager provides services in the coordination and execution of continuing education and meetings for the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians and, through Lutine Management, its clients. The Education Program Manager plays a key supporting role for association-related meetings, events, and activities. This position requires someone with exceptional task management and people skills, who can work well with individuals across the organization and with association members. The Education Program Manager position is a full-time position, either remote or office-based in Trenton, NJ, but requires some travel and may involve long hours around and during association-related activities.

This position is ideal for someone who would like to advance his/her career in the area of continuing education/adult education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates completion and processing of continuing education applications and supporting materials (disclosures, LOAs, etc.) for assigned meetings and events.
• Creates and manages a cross-association speaker database with contact information, specialties, ratings, etc.
• Records and maintains education intervention data: attendance, case presentations, evaluation surveys.
• Manages organization and documentation of continuing education documentation for reporting purposes.
• Develops and administers evaluation surveys and assisting with data collection and analysis to maintain the quality of education programs.
• Coordinates the process for abstract submissions including call for abstract notices, online abstract submissions, author notifications, poster coordination, on-site logistics, and on-site judging.
• Coordinates the development of speaker correspondence and collection of required CME/CEU speaker documentation including objectives, biographical/disclosure information, speaker slide presentations, pre/post-tests, and audience response questions.
• Contributes ideas for maintaining and improving all aspects of meeting development, including setting up efficient databases to evaluate meeting outcomes.
• Coordinates the development of online enduring programs.
• Performs additional support to the activities within professional education as needed.
• May be assigned to attend conferences to support continuing education/speaker management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in continuing medical education is required.
• Minimum three (3) years of administrative and project management experience
• Prior continuing medical education experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with medical professionals.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to take direction and/or accept tasks from multiple people
• Ability to deal effectively with deadlines and time pressures.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and multitask.
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, especially executive-level volunteers.
• Ability to think quickly and follow through accordingly.
• Excellent computer skills – computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Flexible for overnight business travel locally, regionally, and nationally as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
