New Horizons Computer Learning Centers Hiring for Online Adjunct Professor Job at Remote Full Time

New Horizons is looking to hire 3 Online Adjunct Professors

ONLY CONSIDERING candidates in the Continental US and in either the Eastern Standard or Central Standard Time Zones.

MUST have IT Certifications (Required)

Adjunct Instructor (20-25 hours a week)

Position Overview:

This dynamic technical instructor position requires a growth mindset, strong communication skills, a great attitude, and high technical aptitude. The Faculty Instructor will be responsible for delivering training for students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ø This position is remote online

MUST have reliable internet

Ø Class hours are 6 PM to 9:40 Monday – Friday. Course or either 9 weeks or 18 weeks.

Ø Successfully deliver instructor-led classes by preparing material and delivering classes based on the curriculum.

Ø Collaborate with curriculum developer and Training Manager to determine teaching style and understanding of the curriculum.

Ø Ensure customer satisfaction and the overall experience of the student by delivering high-quality classes.

Ø Engage with students, track progress, and ensure students prepare for certification exams. Successfully help the students to pass the Exam certifications.

Ø Evaluate and grade students class work, attendance, and assignments

Ø Evaluate students and report academic concerns when warranted by classroom performance.

Ø Follow up with students on progress and work with the student services team to ensure student success.

Ø Provide support via email and over the phone to both team and client.

Ø Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain valuable information to the training facility and integrates information into training programs.

Ø Stay current with required industry certifications and provide digital proof of certificates

Qualifications:

Should have IT certifications or obtaining certifications

Ø MUST have or are acquiring CompTIA A+.

Ø Desired certifications to be obtained Network+ and Security+ certifications (or have/acquire a higher-level CompTIA certification i.e. CompTIA CySA). Other desired certifications: Linux+, CTT+, AWS CCP, Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.

Ø Strong knowledge of IT training programs and employer relationships.

Ø A passion for upskilling workforce talent with a focus on diversity.

Ø Able to effectively manage relationships and meet goals

Ø Able to work independently

Ø Possess good organizational skills

Ø A self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills

Ø Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills

Education and/or Experience:

Ø Strong knowledge of the IT industry.

Ø Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology area, or related degree with 2-4 years of teaching experience.

Ø Prior experience with technical training is preferred.

Ø CompTIA CTT+ or equivalent instructional certification(s).

Ø Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, mainly translating technical terms/processes into layman terms.

Ø Strong comfort level with new technology.
