Position s To: Vice President, Finance

Position Overview

ing to the Vice President, Finance, the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, will be responsible for the short and long-term financial planning and analysis of business operations to measure, review and forecast future business performance. This role will also be responsible for the financial and managerial ing, and lead quarterly ing and disclosure processes, in addition to collaborating with site operations teams to provide accurate and timely ing to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s planning process, including corporate and organizational business plans, overall life of mine plans, budgets and forecasts
• Ensure that budget, forecast and life of mine models are sufficiently integrated
• Oversee internal ing including, physical, costs and capital ing
• Lead cost performance review process analyzing trends and identifying cost optimization opportunities
• Coordinate overall Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) process and track progress of key site capital projects
• Coordinate the capital review process, to ensure that capital projects are developed and implemented in-line with strategic business objectives and meet corporate financial return requirements
• Maintain complex financial models to facilitate scenario analysis and strategic decision making
• Manage and support financial planning tools, to streamline and standardize internal ing and planning processes
• Participate in special projects when required, such as ad-hoc and value-added financial analysis

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years relevant advanced analytical and financial modelling experience, preferably within mining sector
• Proficiency with MS Office, with advanced Excel skills, specifically data transformation and advanced pivot table skills
• Extensive cost ing, budgeting, and forecasting experience

• Ability to manage key stakeholder interests while at the same time managing conflicting priorities and business interests
• Proactive approach to analytical issues that require financial, operational, economic and statistical insight
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong operational mining knowledge a positive
• Toronto based, with a willingness to travel to New Gold’s operations up to 25%
