New Charter Technologies Hiring for Vice President of Digital Transformation Job at Remote Full Time

A highly motivated candidate will manage a department of senior engineers that develop software solutions in various markets including healthcare and manufacturing. They will work with teams in establishing and adhering to software development best practices, identifying critical gaps, creating, owning strategic projects, and empowering teams.

This individual will sit at the leadership table; will act as a leader and be an agent of innovation and change while inspiring those around them. They will set goals, coach, and lead the team to new heights, and help grow leaders. In addition, this person must have a vision and the ability to develop a strategic plan to scale up the business.

This individual will be a change agent in co-authoring and driving leading a Digital Transformation consulting methodology across the New Charter platform. He/she will be responsible for driving business from pipeline generation to closing business, fulfilling projects, and creating recurring revenue streams. The role will touch all aspects of New Charter platform companies, to include OLT, Growth, and vCIO groups.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of developers, including performance reviews, mentoring, career path, and daily work management.
• Oversee hiring and team composition and workload planning.
• Develop and enforce department processes and policies including development and support best practices.
• Drive project requirement gathering, technical specs, and Statement of Work (SOW) development.
• Supervise development of project scope, timelines, budgets.
• Oversees internal and external projects and support resources including vendors, contractors, and employees.
• Establish and achieve department financial objectives by assisting in the preparation of department budget, monitoring employee utilization, department expenditures, analyzing performance data, and initiating corrective actions.
• As a member of the leadership team participate in the development of the department and company growth strategy.
• Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress, identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities. Drive results proactively.
• Act as a liaison between our company and clients who are considered “key accounts”. Work with your team to understand client needs, priorities, and potential software development and support opportunities. Lead critical project meetings and conference calls with clients.
• Interface and be a catalyst for unification of other functional and technical groups such as IT and sales teams.
• Oversee and provide input to several phases of the system development and implementation life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support for application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms
• Develop staffing plans that optimize costs and provide maximum value to the business – track and take appropriate steps to stay within budget
• Meet regularly with team to gather work statuses
• Discuss work progress and obstacles with assigned team and or direct reports, and provide advice, guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback
• Establish measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with business and organizational goals
• Mentor and lead assigned resources in their respective career development
• Train and educate New Charter platform companies on the New Charter Digital Transformation Consulting Methodologies.
• Be responsible for achieving targeted levels of revenue in this key strategic area.
• Establish a practice area of subject matter expertise, aligned to New Charter strategy and methodologies.

Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in leading application development teams with a strong customer orientation and growth
• Deep understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
• Has an innovative mindset and can help drive digital transformation for clients.
• Not afraid to make changes to support hypergrowth while delivering on profits and high-quality services
• Must have managed a team of at least 10+ software developers
• Experienced with application development best practices including Agile development methodology and Microsoft DevOps
• Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical person with proven attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Good leadership skills
• Must have the ability to maintain a positive attitude
• Scrum Master experience is a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
