Duration: Secondment / Fixed Term Contract for 6 months with the potential to extend / go permanent. posts available.

This role is a full-time opportunity, but flexible working patterns will be considered.
Location: This role is based in either Milton Keynes or London, however hybrid working will be considered. As this is a business facing role, travel to Network Rail offices will be required on occasions to meet your client area / senior stakeholders.

About the function
Human Resources (HR) provides support on all people-related issues for Network Rail. We’re responsible for creating an environment that attracts and engages high-performing individuals to deliver engineering and operational excellence for Britain’s railway. Our approach is a pragmatic one, challenging where appropriate and professional in all areas of delivery.
Brief Description
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone to work as an integral member to their business senior leadership team, proactively identify, plan and meet the people needs of the business in order to improve performance whilst working with your HR team and direct reports. You’ll be someone with previous experience dealing with IR & ER cases, alongside leading on business transformational change projects.

About the role (External)
What does the average day look like?
In this role, you will be working with your business area’s to develop, drive and implement the HR Strategy/People Plan that includes; talent, succession planning and change management, in order to support the delivery of objectives and drive a high performance culture. You’ll be an integral member of the business leadership team, building strong relationships with senior business leaders and other relevant stakeholders, this will involve coaching, advising and challenging thinking in addition to co-development of integrated people initiatives to meet business needs.
You will also be acting as a change agent, contributing to change programmes, driving and championing the implementation of HR solutions gaining acceptance from key stakeholders. In addition to working in collaboration with; Centres of Expertise, HR Shared Services, HR Direct and HR Business Partner teams to proactively identify and influence changes for improvements.
