About Nett:
Nett Technologies Inc., a leading manufacturer of engine emission control systems and a custom metal fabrication, has an opening for an Operations/Plant Manager. The company designs and manufactures a full range of exhaust after-treatment emission control products for OE and aftermarket diesel, LPG, gasoline and natural gas engines.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee daily activities of Company’s Manufacturing Operations from Sales Order initiation, engineering approval through a full manufacturing output process

Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while maintaining current quality ISO standards

Direct production staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees as well as developing personal growth opportunities

Develop production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules and resolve problems if required. Implement cost reductions, comply with and develop reporting procedures and systems (using 5 Whys/5S, etc.)

Manage operational budget to ensure minimal production cost and optimal product quality

Develop systems and processes to track and optimize productivity standards, develop and monitor KPI’s, make adjustment for improvements

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing procedures and complying with regulations

Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees

Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant University/College degree or equivalent technical designation/experience

Minimum five years supervisory/managerial/operations experience preferably in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment with a solid knowledge of tools, machinery and processes

Experience/understanding of welding techniques and quality standards

Strong analytical, problem solving, project management with excellent communication skills

Effective ability to quickly analyze manufacturing procedures, functions and problems to develop and recommend creative, practical solutions

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Adequate knowledge of business management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, human resource and asset allocation)

Strong leadership and coaching skills with ability to create accountability through a lead by example principle

Assertive personality with strong self-discipline and sense of urgency
