No really! In order to make sure our contact centre products, Converse and Connect, are ready for customers to use, we need you to find their limits.

As a Test Analyst here at Netcall, we need you to test our products extensively and find anything and everything that could go wrong so it can be fixed before we release it to our customers.

The existing generation of software is well established though we regularly add new features and updates which need to be tested before going live. You’ll also need to investigate any faults which customers might find and if necessary, add it to a maintenance review to be fixed.

This is a really varied role, with new problems to solve every day. Our team really enjoy the challenge of making our software better – finding ways to improve and create new solutions that customers can benefit from. Plus, it’s fun to break things, they really enjoy that!

You’ll be heavily involved in looking at new requirements, working with developers to create acceptance criteria and ensuring the software they deliver meets those requirements.

You’ll need strong written communication skills for creating test cases where you outline the tests you have carried out and the test data you collect. You’ll need to make it clear what issues have been identified and how you found them so the development team can fix the issue.

A lot of our testing is manual, though we are moving towards automating where we can, so it would be useful if you have some experience of both manual and automated testing. Working in a small team, you’ll take ownership over designing and executing test cases and test scripts to ensure adequate testing has been completed.

About You

You are an inquisitive problem solver, questioning everything. Your aim is to break the software, you’ll need to get creative to find every possible bug before it goes live.

You’ll ideally have some experience in manual software testing, automated testing is not essential but beneficial

You can communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.

It would be great if you had ISTQB certification, but this isn’t essential.

Because of the work we do, all of our employees need to go through pre-employment screening.

You may previously have worked as a software tester, QA Tester or Test Analyst, this role could suit a Graduate in a relevant subject who is keen to pursue a career in testing.
