We’re growing our team and we are looking passionate, enthusiastic and intuitive Customer Business Managers to manage our Key Accounts within our Independent Grocery Team. This is an exciting opportunity to drive to take ownership of one of our Independent Grocery Retailer relationship with Metcash & Drakes.

This position incorporates all aspects of Account Management encompassing the development and execution of the Business Development Plan, and the strategic investment of trade spend within the channel.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF…

You will be joining a passionate and dynamic team, you will work closely with our Sales team to develop and maintain strategies for your portfolio to achieve internal and external sales objectives.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing, implementing and maintaining customer plans to ensure delivery of objectives
• Monitoring performance against internal and external key performance indicators
• Formulating action plans as required to reflect changes in market, retailer and/or consumer dynamics to ensure performance objectives are being met
• Being the key Nestlé contact for all enquiries, internal and external, relevant to your category within Independent Grocery Channels.
• Supporting the development of category, channel, and field sales plans with internal stakeholders.
• Managing positive relationships with cross functional stakeholders, internally & externally
• Engaging and delivering sales priorities to the field team monthly.
• Completing quarterly market updates and insights for the Independent Grocery Channel
• Conducting analysis of regular pricing reviews & providing recommendations

What Will Make You Successful

• At least 2 years in Field Sales, Account Management, Business Development, Category Development experience with a CPG, distributor or retail operations.
• Analytical mindset is required as you deep dive into performance indicators and drive improvements in business processes and results.
• Previous experience in a customer facing role you will demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• You will be commercially savvy and have a history of building successful relationships with your customers and stakeholders.
• As a true partner to the business and customer, you are a confident communicator and have the ability to adapt communicate style with stakeholders.
• The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in an Account Management role; ideally within FMCG.
