NES FIRCROFT Hiring for CFO Job at London, England Full Time

My Client is a fast growing global, off-grid renewal energy developer, operator, and technology developer and integrator. The Company’s mission is to provide affordable, clean energy to promote wealth and prosperity in developing communities across the world by designing and producing robust, cost-effective engineering solutions for the off-grid electricity market.
The company’s main office is in London and has branches in Italy and other African nations, including Benin, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Uganda.

Role and Responsibilities

My Client is currently seeking a CFO to lead the company across project finance, corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, project sales, investor relations, and sourcing of project debt and equity. This individual will be a strategic member of the company’s leadership team, responsible for both internal process-building and high-value relationship management with both key suppliers/partners and customers. This role will report directly to the CEO and will have significant inputs and deliverables across the organization. The CFO will also oversee the corporate accounting function, with the current Group Financial Controller reporting to the CFO.

• Corporate Finance: Taking ownership of corporate finance and accounting to develop key financial metrics for the company and forecast cash/liquidity needs
• Project Finance: Developing the internal view on project financing and leading the sourcing process for debt and sales process for equity
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Creating and executing on an analytical framework to overlay the company’s strategic goals with capital needs
• Investor Relations: Managing the relationship across the company’s capital providers, which include a number of large international investors.
• Project Sales and Deal Execution: Providing execution leadership or support across transactions to maximise value
• Process Building: Creating internal processes across stakeholders to manage the flow of information across the above responsibilities.

Background and Skills

• French Speaker Preferred
• 5+ years of experience in project finance preferably in the energy/renewable energy field or in corporate finance with a grounding in project finance.
• Qualified Accountant
• Senior member of the corporate finance function for a growing developer, start-up company, or unit within a large enterprise
• Knowledge of renewable energies and energy storage value proposition and/or engineering and/or fundamentals of energy storage projects
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility and willingness to work on various initiatives simultaneously
• Supportive, resourceful, and willing to take on new tasks
• Persuasive, clear, and concise writing and presentation skills
• Creative and independent thinker
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse, fast-paced team.
