Job Summary:

This specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent to fulfill our corporate and distribution center needs in the organization. The position may also assist in various aspects of Human Resource administration as needed and assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work with management and marketing to develop recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.

• Manage the recruitment process from start to finish:

• Initiate job posting and advertising process.
• Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System.
• Coordinate the interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews.
• Work with the hiring manager after the interview process to select the most qualified applicant.
• Collaborate with the hiring manager and other members of Human Resources during the offer process to identify and recommend a start date, salary range, incentive, commission, and other pertinent details.
• Extend the offer to the applicant.

• Utilize HRIS system recruitment module to its fullest capabilities.

• Utilize third party applications such as Indeed and LinkedIn.

• Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks).

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with college, university, and community college placement offices and attend networking opportunities as a source to connect with qualified applicants and/or interns.

• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future job openings.

• Work with employment agencies and search firms, if approved through management.

• Attend and participate in job/internship fairs.

• Work with management to improve recruiting, hiring efficiencies, and reducing turnover.

• Research, analyze, prepare, and present hiring and statistics.

• Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.

• Maintain records on recruiting activities, as required. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

• Provide input on succession planning to identify, develop, and retain top talent.

• Provide input to help develop and maintain metrics to track the success of the succession planning programs, such as the percentage of key positions that are filled internally and the retention rate of high-potential employees.

• Continuously improve the recruitment process by soliciting feedback from hiring managers and candidates and implementing change, as needed.

• Use data and analytics, such as time to fill and cost per hire, to help measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data driven recommendations.

• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.

• Participate in the development and implementation of talent management programs, such as leadership development.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Education: High school degree or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Education: Post-secondary education with emphasis in Human Resources or equivalent experience.

• Experience: 2 – 5 years related recruiting and general Human Resources experience.
