Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Sonoma County
Compensation: $90,000-120,000/annual

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to plan and lead the direction of their department as they experience a large amount of growth. In this role you will be responsible for financial reporting, analysis, and expected to provide guidance on future financial plans. You will also be expected to recruit and hire junior staff as well as train new employees as needed. Other responsibilities include managing and monitoring all accounts to assure that Company books are audit ready. You will have superior analytical and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated ability to develop a high-preforming team.

Responsibilities:

• Review monthly and quarterly journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance.
• Ensure payroll is processed and recorded accurately and timely.
• Process weekly accounts payable and check runs.
• Support annual corporate income tax filling and complete quarterly sales and use tax filing.
• Identify opportunities to continue process improvement and accelerate reporting timeliness while maintaining accuracy.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity of financial and company data.
• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.

  
  Desired Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in full cycle accounting
• Prior management experience required
• Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
