Nederveld, Inc Hiring for Talent Acquisition Specialist at Grand Rapids, MI, United States Full Time

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for many of the day-to-day activities in the Human Resources department related to talent acquisition.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for Nederveld, Inc.

S / he will provide support within the Human Resources area, with other operational areas assigned, as needed.

Essential Functions

• Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
• Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates
• Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
• Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
• Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting session on an as needed basis.

Essential Skills for Performing the Job

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Required Education and Experience

• At least 5 years of related recruiting experience required, with prior experience in technical roles a plus.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Human resources or a related field preferred
• General office experience, preferred

Position Type / Expected Hours

This is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is permitted, but s / he must be available during the standard work hours of 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm.

Physical Demands

This position is considered Sedentary. An employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, type, talk, and hear.

Majority of the time spent in a typical office environment.

Travel

Travel requirements for the position are minimal.
