This role is a fixed-term contract for 9 months between mid-March and mid-December 2022. The role is two or three days per week, based in Sydney.

International Studios delivers award-winning international television to millions across the globe. Based in London, NBCUniversal International Studios’ in-house production labels including Carnival Films, Monkey Kingdom and Australian-based Matchbox Pictures. Additionally, NBCUniversal International Studios operates a joint production venture with Working Title Television and Heyday Television, owns an equity stake in LARK Productions in Canada (Motive) and has a first look deal with Hardy Son & Baker and 87 Films. It also operates a prolific global formats business, which licenses and produces content in over 70 territories worldwide.

Matchbox Pictures is looking for a Finance intern to be based in the Sydney office. The Finance Intern will play a key role in supporting the existing small finance team at Matchbox Pictures (100% Owned by NBCU).

Reporting into the Finance Manager this role will work closely with the Sydney based finance team to provide assistance in a wide variety of tasks to help with the day to day running of the finance function at Matchbox Pictures. You will need to be adaptable to a variety of systems and processes that are used with in the business.

• Raising and receiving intercompany recharges.
• Work through the Cost Reporting process for development projects
• Support Accounts payable and Accounts receivable related tasks, including generation of invoices & receipting
• Setting up of new vendors and customers via NBCU support central system
• Coordination of company fixed asset register and monthly depreciation charges
• Supporting the quarterly Superannuation submission
• Preparation of monthly & quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for review by Finance Manager.
• Assisting with Bank Reconciliation (SAP & BLACKLINE) – Preparing Journals, Cash Receipting & Manual payment entries
• Exposure to all financial aspects of the development and production lifecycle of television projects. This includes the greenlight process, liaising with production teams and cost reporting
• Other adhoc general administration and finance tasks.

ABOUT YOU

Education & Qualifications

• Working towards university degree or college diploma in Accounting, Commerce or Business

Management/Administration

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office essential
• SAP experience desirable
