Job Description
We are looking for an HR Director for our growing successful International Studios based in London. You will be responsible for providing HR leadership, advice, coaching and guidance to all employees and contractors across the International Studio and Production Companies. Delivering a first-class HR service, proactively engaging on all people related activities.
Reporting into the London VP, HR you will be a trusted partner working closely with the Executives and Leadership teams in the business on delivering the Employee Value Proposition, culture, organisational design, performance and the hiring of both internal and external talent. You will create HR programs which enable each individual organisations growth and strategic plans.
Responsibilities
Strategic HR
Lead the delivery of a strategic people plan that executes the business objectives through its employees. Take ownership & responsibility for delivering the plan through the leadership team. Regularly measuring success of the plan and communicating this to employees
Leadership & Culture
Partner with the UIS leadership team & members of the USG leadership to deliver first class human resources and employee experiences
Coach, advice and support the leadership teams in delivering great employee engagement experiences
Own and deliver culture and engagement programmes across the studio; partnering with the US studio & International Corporate teams to elevate programmes. Managing all local activities; including events, socials, and wellbeing initiatives
Collaborate and lead on Employee communication channels. Collecting data and making informed decisions on activities that will drive engagement
Leading on Leadership development programmes for the local leadership team, identifying ways to build and develop the team
Leadership of the UIS HR team, including HR Generalist and with support from an HR Co-ordinator. Supporting individual engagement, growth & development
Organisational Change
Identify and deliver organisational change programmes across the Studio’s, using your experience to guide best practice on leading change. Delivering structures designed to build out and met future growth needs
Resource & budget planning with the SLT, identifying sustainable structures able to deliver against planned growth
Strategically plan and execute expansion into Europe, working in partnership with Global Mobility and internal HR partnerships
DE& I
Be the lead person in International to delivery on all DE&I initiatives across UIS; driving inclusion, awareness, and empowerment of individual voices. Working in conjunction with the ERG’s and Corporate Engagement
Identify and create programmes working with Talent attraction which attract, develop and engage current and future diverse talent to the Studios
Talent Management
Driving the talent identification, management, and succession planning of talent across the businesses. Collaborating with USG HR, TalentLabs to create opportunities, growth and development of our talent
Identifying and leading on the delivery of programmes to enhance career opportunities and movement within the Studio
Employee Relations
Lead person for ER for Director and above, working with the business leaders and supporting all parties to ensure the process is delivered in a timely manner and reaches conclusions for all involved
Partner with HR teams locally across compensation, employment law, Talent acquisitions and
Recruitment & onboarding
Assist in the hiring of all talent VP & Directors into the business, working in partnership with TA. Identifying ways of bringing in the best diverse talent into the organisation at a senior level
Manage the delivery of all administration, process & contracts through the HR team, ensuring accuracy and fast execution to create a positive candidate experience
Lead the onboarding experience of all new hires
Other HR duties
Actively participate in the creation, design and execution of USG HR programmes, providing an International input into design. Executing plans across UIS and creating engagement by the business
Leadership on the delivery of HR annual programmes; talent management, compensation & benefits reviews, engagement surveys, development programme nominations etc
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will be a developing HR Director with experience of building trusted relationships with Executives as a strong Senior HR business partner
You will demonstrate leadership competence in driving culture change, coaching and development
You will have experience of organisational design and execution of change
You will have experience in managing HR within a fast-paced dynamic & creative environment
You will have exceptional employment law knowledge and experience of managing complex change
You will have experience in creating and executing HR strategies along with tactical priorities
You must be able work independently in a fast-paced creative environment and meet tight deadlines
You will be able to engage, influence and develop strong relationships within a creative production environment
Our organisation is heavily matrixed so the ability to navigate this, collaborate and ensure all stakeholders are communicated with is key
Multi-tasking is crucial for this role- you will be someone that is solutions focused and able to deliver on potentially complex matters in a timely and efficient way. You’ll consider attention to detail one of your strengths, working with a methodical approach, prioritising your workload and have great organisational and time management skills
Ability to communicate across all levels and flex your style in various scenarios
You’re able to really demonstrate the ‘human’ in human resources, understanding your groups and identifying creative ways in which to engage them in all people related activity
