Natural Stone Designs Hiring for Shop Stone Polisher/Fabricator/Installation Helper/Installer Full Time

Natural Stone Designs is a growing company that has been in business since 1988 performing stone countertop manufacturing and installation. We specialize in commercial construction countertops and can accomplish the most technically challenging designs in our industry. We are looking for dedicated individuals with good work ethic that are eager to learn about the art of stone countertop fabrication and installation. We are currently recruiting for a Shop Stone Polisher / Installation Helper / Fabricator / Installer at our Tualatin, OR main office.

• Inspect and assist loading of granite slabs from delivery trucks into warehouse
• Move slabs to cutting areas by using overhead cranes
• Inspect stone surfaces to identify uneven / damaged areas.
• Assist to prepare stone for smoothing / polishing process
• Use polishing/abrasive wheel equipment and compounds as appropriate
• Inspect, repair chips and blemishes as needed.
• Help load fabricated stone material onto trucks.
• Responsible for maintaining the slab warehouse clean and safe for staff and customers
• Inspect and assist loading of fabricated stone material onto trucks
• Work with lead to assist in countertop installations
• Flexible, as schedules vary from week to week
• Drive to work site

• Material handling of fabricated stone countertops into final setting location
• Use polishing/abrasive wheel equipment and compounds as appropriate
• Assist with silica/dust control and cleanup when cutting on site
• Inspect, repair chips and blemishes as needed
• Performs additional duties as required and or requested

Qualifications:

• Drug Screening required
• High School Education required
• Experience working with overhead crane is a plus
• Attention to detail
• Able to lift 50 lbs. intermittently during the shift
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• This position requires Mon-Fri, 6am-3pm, with some Saturdays, and some overtime

Must be legally able to work in the U.S. (provide verification) and be able to pass a drug screening for initial employment. DMV verification for those planning to drive company vehicles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $30.00 per hour
