Director of Technical Accounting Requisition

The Director of Accounting plays a critical role within the accounting department. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this individual will assist the Controller with the close process and will focus on the implementation of the new accounting standards, supporting both external and internal reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in documenting the Company’s accounting policies
• Coordinate with the external auditors on technical accounting issues
• Work with 3rd party consultants and/or valuation specialists as needed, for more complex transactions
• Review non-standard journal entries
• Support the accounting close process, reviewing the US GAAP financial statements
• Assist in preparing documentation and discussion materials for the Company’s Board of Directors
• Assist the controller in managing internal controls
• Lead the implementation of new accounting standards (Leases, Cloud Computing, etc.)
• Assist with M&A

Education/Experience:

• Equivalent of 8-10 years of experience
• CPA certification required
• Public accounting experience required, Big 4 preferred
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent required (MAC)
• Experience with inventory preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Proficient in US GAAP
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working collaboratively across functions
