About The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join this highly recognised, respected and successful business. In the role of Commercial Accountant, you will fully utilise your current skills and be given the chance to enhance and broaden your capability and learn more about the functioning of a retail business. The role is strongly focused on month end closing activities, analysis, forecast and budget processes.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, the role operates within the Finance Team and is conveniently located in the Adelaide CBD.

Key accountabilities will include:

• To assist with the delivery of accurate and timely month and year end management accounts with detailed analysis
• Assisting with the preparation for the stocktake variance analysis
• Assistance with monthly forecast and annual budget within planned timeframes
• Provide support to the Finance team as required

What we are looking for:

Essential Criteria

• Accounting degree qualification
• Sound excel skills
• Proven attention to detail, and a focus on ensuring integrity and accuracy
• An ability to engage and collaborate with a range of stakeholders within and outside of the organisation
• A history of self enhancement and improvement through proactive learning

Desirable Criteria

• Retail or health industry experience
• Working towards CPA/CA

You will have drive, enthusiasm and a desire to deliver to high standards and be able to demonstrate strong time management and prioritisation skills and an ability to adapt in a dynamic retail environment. The successful candidate will live our values and have energy and determination to succeed.
