APS3 – Administration Officer, National Library Bookshop

The Library is seeking to fill an APS3 Administration Officer in the beautiful and interesting National Library Bookshop working in a small and dynamic team.

We are seeking someone with a passion for Australian publishing, books and gifts to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising a small team in concert with the bookshop manager in a customer-service focused environment. Key responsibilities:

• Stock control, daily financial ing and reconciliation of financial documents.
• Communications including but not limited to newsletter, social media communications and online shop curation.
• Opportunities for the right applicant to engage with stock selection and merchandising.

This role involves occasional evening and weekend rostering.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at the National Library of Australia and to work in contributing to the institutional goals of the NLA through the community engagement team.

You must have good retail experience to undertake this role. Bookshop or a similar retail experience is a bonus.

You should have a broad knowledge and interest in Australian publishing.
