We are hiring a New Talent and Resourcing Specialist in our Gas Transmission department.
Key accountabilities
To partner with your allocated business area, delivering effective recruitment advice and strategies to deliver the business area’s current and future people requirements including scheme trainee recruitment. Managing and developing stakeholder relationships. Contributing to creating a positive image for National Grid as an employer. Managing end to end recruitment of roles.
• Business partnering: Partnering effectively with your business area, building relationships, ensuring the resourcing team are meeting and exceeding customer needs and enhancing the internal reputation of the resourcing team • Mapping external markets and organisations: Map external markets, organisations and trends to deliver strong talent pipelines and recruitment insights to the resourcing team and to your business area• Attraction: Set creative, efficient and cost effective souring strategies using tools such as social media and headhunting as required to drive direct sourcing and limit recruitment agency spend• Talent pipeline: Work with the business, HR colleagues and strategic workforce planning to develop talent pipelines for scarce/hard to fill positions.• Metrics and KPIs: Proactively working to recruitment metrics, monitoring and driving time to offer, time to hire and hiring manager and candidate experience. Being accountable for all vacancies within your business area whether or not directly managed by you. • Candidate management: Manage candidates through the end to end recruitment process ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout• Inclusion and diversity: Implementing best practise to ensure our processes are inclusive and encouraging best practise with hiring managers• Scheme trainee recruitment: proactively managing the start to end scheme trainee recruitment process on an annual basis covering apprenticeships through to graduate programme
About you
Essential• Excellent knowledge of recruitment practices gained from a recruitment agency at a senior level; or in-house recruitment background.• Expertise in a range of sourcing channels.• Expertise in vendor management.• Excellent stakeholder management skills• Experience of scheme attraction and recruitment• Ability to plan, prioritise and project manage• Ability to build relationships at senior level.• Experience of direct sourcingDesirable• Strong digital knowledge.• Adept at using social media for recruitment and employer branding purposes• Experience of graduate and apprentice recruitment

Metering is the largest asset manager of industrial, commercial and residential gas meters in GB – providing metering and meter reading services on behalf of GT.
What you’ll get

A competitive salary between £38,9000-50,000 – dependent on capability As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance (subject to bonus scheme rules in place at the time) and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
