Nanager Hiring for Monday + Friday Nanny Job at Port Melbourne Full Time

ROLE DETAILS
Location: Port Melbourne, VIC
Child: 6 month old
Pay rate: $32-35/hour + Super
Days: Mondays and Fridays
Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm
Start date: ASAP (as soon as they find the right person).

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Permanent Australian Resident
• Valid Working With Children Check
• Valid First Aid and CPR
• Fully vaccinated
• Drivers Licence (own car preferable)
• 2+ years of experience working with babies
• 2 exceptional references for us to call.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
First-time parents are eager to find a nanny who has experience with babies. They’d love to have a written summary outlining their 6 month old’s days, so someone with an education/background in childcare might be wonderful, but they are definitely open to those whose experience with babies is as a nanny or parent. The focus of this role will be on the baby and his needs (so assisting with his meal prep/laundry will be a great help).

Building trust in the early days is important so the parents feel comfortable that their little one is well cared for while they’re at work. They are keen for their nanny to take their son out and about in the local area (driving not essential, but they’d prefer the nanny has a licence just in case) and focus on activities that engage and extend his interests as he grows while following an appropriate schedule for naps/feeds.

The ideal person for this role will be patient, responsive, and empathetic. They will be confident and comfortable to work independently in consultation with the parents.

ABOUT THE FAMILY:
These thoughtful parents are professionals who work very regular hours (mum will be returning to work full-time in May). They work in a science-based industry but also love music and dancing! They are a loving family who value honesty and respect.

Their 6mo son is engaging and generally cheerful. He’s at a really fun age – starting to find his voice and enjoying his introduction to food! He attends childcare 3 days a week so will likely thrive with the balance of having a nanny on the other 2 weekdays.
