ROLE DETAILS
Location: Eltham, VIC
Salary: $83,000-$95,000 per year + Super + paid leave entitlements (depending on experience and qualifications)
Days: Mondays to Fridays
Hours: 7am – 6pm
Child: 15 month old
Start date: August 8th, 2022.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Permanent Australian Resident
• Valid Working With Children Check
• Valid First Aid and CPR
• Vaccinated against Covid-19
• 3+ years of experience in similar roles
• Licence and own car (preferable)
• 2 exceptional references for us to call.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
This 2-doctor family is seeking a reliable and experienced nanny for their young working with children of a similar age. Qualifications in Early Childhood would be wonderful (though not essential). The right Nanager will facilitate developmentally-appropriate activities at home and outings that encourage learning. The parents are looking forward to welcoming a nanny who can build a wonderful relationship with their son, while respecting their wishes and keeping up appropriate communication with them to ensure they feel comfortable that he is safe and well cared for.

The focus of the role will be on the child and his needs, but the parents would appreciate light household support so they can focus their free time on enjoying their family. Meals and laundry for the toddler will be expected, and it would be great to extend this to the parents when possible. No cleaning is required, but helping to maintain a tidy and organised home is important.

The right person for this role will be empathetic and affectionate, organised, able to communicate well with children and adults, and will be trustworthy and honest.

• The parents would be very happy to employ a nanny who is excited to work the long hours consistently, but they are open to sharing the role between 2 nannies if that is a better solution for the right candidate/s.

ABOUT THE FAMILY
The parents enjoy gardening, food & wine, and Netflix! Both are surgeons, which means long work hours that can occasionally be unpredictable (which means they might sometimes need some flexibility from their Nanager). They are currently living interstate temporarily for work, but will return to living in the Eltham area in August. Around mid-2023 they will relocate to Preston.

Their 1 year old son is fairly social, loves to be on the go, is in a reliable routine, and loves to eat! He has been in childcare part-time recently, but when the family returns to Melbourne they are keen for him to have a nanny to provide one-on-one consistent care.
