NAMI Massachusetts Hiring for Sr. Program Manager, Education and Support Job at Woburn, MA Full Time

NAMI Massachusetts, the state’s voice on mental health issues, has an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team reshaping NAMI Mass’s approach to peer-to-peer support. This full-time Senior Manager position in our newly formed Education and Support division will help grow our peer and family programs, support the volunteers leading them and collaborate with our local affiliates across the state. The successful candidate will be passionate about peer-to-peer support, organized, creative, a good team player and have personal experience living with a mental health condition.

Key responsibilities include the following:

• Oversee Education & Support program implementation with regional affiliates to maximize the geographic reach, sustainability, and growth of the programs; and the development and strength of the regional affiliates
• Support affiliate capacity building including organizational, membership and program development through annual assessment, goal setting, and planning
• Support integration of program leaders into the affiliate organizations
• Develop an annual program plan in collaboration with senior management and provides bi-monthly program reports
• Contribute to the tracking and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data for all Education & Support for inclusion in program, impact, and grant reporting
• Determine resources needed for programming and contribute to budget development and financial oversight
• Lead the recruitment, training, development, and support of volunteer program leaders
• Collaborate with other senior managers to build the capacity of volunteer program leaders
• Build and maintain strategic relationships and partnerships with stakeholders across the state
• Represent NAMI Mass at resource fairs and other events, and on councils and advisory groups
• Speak succinctly about NAMI Mass programs and their impact in various arenas

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• At least five years of experience in program management
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, public policy, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Personal experience accessing resources and help to support your own mental health needs or the mental health needs of a family member or friend
• A strong understanding of NAMI Mass programs, including NAMI Family-to-Family, NAMI Peer-to-Peer, NAMI Basics, NAMI Connection group, and NAMI Family Support Groups
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Sharepoint, and Zoom
• Self-motivated, self-reflective, and interested in continuous learning
• Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and willing to “do the work”
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple locations within Massachusetts
