You will join a fast-paced team and provide technical leadership and support in cloud-based technologies and microservices to achieve identified objectives within the ERP Technology team. You will provide critical thinking and a high degree of technical innovation and attention to detail while being recognised as a trusted advisor to the team and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand and analyse requirements and metrics to establish specifications.
• Design, build, test and deploy software solutions including UI, APIs, business logic & data components.
• Setup CI/CD pipelines and build microservices to integrate vendor SaaS applications.
• Support – initial diagnosis of problems for a system or sub-system, or apply known solutions including documenting problems, progress checking, and escalation to ensure resolution.
• Write well-designed, testable clean code and automated tests.
• Working with Security, Architecture, and Infrastructure teams to simplify the adoption of cloud and build the enforcement of guard rails.
• Technical leadership including mentoring and guiding junior team members.

What you will bring

We are looking for a senior engineer who is experienced with Cloud infrastructure with a proven track record of building microservices using CI/CD pipelines.

You will be passionate about programming, work to the highest standards and are always interested in learning new things. You need to be analytical and critical in your thinking and able to come up with innovative solutions for challenging, interesting problems. You can work independently front-to-back but are also a strong team player. You feel responsible for your work and “own” the code your write.

• Experience in developing microservices using Java Spring boot.
• Experience in building CI and CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory and other enterprise tools.
• Experience in Node.js, Python, Amazon ECS, Azure AKS and AWS Lambda.
• API development using Swagger and integrating with Kong gateway.
• Proven experience working in Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
• Ability to confidently communicate with all levels of management and clearly articulate complex technical issues to stakeholders.
• “Can do” attitude and flexible to support other streams or carry out other project activities.
• Previous experience in a technical leadership role.
