About You

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Partner to support the newly formed Digital Data & Analytics division by providing commercial financial leadership, guidance and support to the business including financial planning, financial control, project governance, forecasting, reporting, analysis and advisory services.

You will support and align with the NAB Finance Strategy to modernise Finance and seek opportunities to drive simplification and process efficiencies.

Your key accountabilities will include:

• Assisting the translation of the strategy of the business unit into a functionally effective plan. Provide overall direction to the relevant BU leadership team to ensure development and delivery of objectives and initiatives within the strategic parameters.
• Supporting the BU/EU Executives in partnership with the Finance Executive, to grow the business, align with our strategic ambition and ensure transformation / simplification
• Driving Project governance – Ensure all project spend is monitored, is within governance and had clearly defined strategic benefits that can be tracked.
• Preparing and presenting key financial insights to the Executive leadership team.
• Producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and allocation of project charges to ensure receipts and project costs are matched against relevant contract clauses.
• Liaising with external strategic partners to develop and maintain forecasts.
• Assessing and monitoring of business cases to ensure optimum use of investment funds to support the strategic objectives of the partnership with constructive challenge of critical decisions and trade-offs.

Your Capabilities, Experience & Qualifications will include:

• Strong stakeholder management skills where you can constructively challenge management’s proposals and decisions in relation to the performance of the relevant Business Unit
• Experience across a range of Finance disciplines including partnering with divisions, corporate centre planning and reporting and financial control roles
• Tertiary qualification in accounting/business/finance, CA/CPA preferable
• Capability to work in a fast-paced, at times ambiguous and complex environment
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, preferred
• Advocate and drive change whilst maintaining effective controls and governance
• Strong process improvement capability in both identification and successful implementation of process re-engineering initiatives
