N & M Transfer, a leader in the LTL Trucking Industry, has a rare opportunity for an experienced Software Developer to join our small I.T. Department. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday 8am-4pm with limited after-hours response requests, at our corporate office in Neenah, WI.

Through the dedication of our employees, N&M is responsible for the transportation of over 4 million pounds of commodities a day throughout our regional area. N&M’s team of skilled truck drivers, forklift operators, mechanics and office employees work together to provide a superior next day transportation service that positively affects our local economy.

Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology field
• Cobol development
• Good keyboarding / typing skills
• Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Candidate lives within easy driving distance to Neenah, WI office

Preferred, but not required experience:

• Java development
• Android development
• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, SQL, and/or Postgres
• Hardware and software technical experience with PCs or servers

Best candidates will also have:
1.Ability to work independently or with a team

2.Willingness to create and maintain reference documentation

3.Ability to assess, manage, and prioritize many different tasks and projects simultaneously

4.Capacity to troubleshoot varying degrees of problems as they arise

5.Foundational knowledge of application development best practices
