Mytreehouse Located in Long Island City child care center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Educational Director, with a passion for creating a positive impact on the growth and development of young children.

QUALIFICATIONS

– BA (MA preferred) in Early Childhood Education
– 1 years Curriculum Development
– Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood
– Understanding of developmentally appropriate practice for infants, toddlers
– Must be finger printed DOI

Director Responsibilities include:

-Program Administration
-Parent Engagement
-Staff and Program Development
-Ensure classrooms are equipped with age appropriate equipment and materials
-Extensive knowledge of DOH Article 47 regulations
-Development, management and implementation of curriculumand enrichment programs
-Promote a professional environment between parents, teachers and staff
-Participate in hiring educational staff, enrichment activities and specialty teachers
-Ensure that all program and services are of the highest quality
-Coordinate parent/teacher conferences to share development milestones of enrolled children
-Participate in facility tours and family interviews as required by Program Director
-Schedule parent/teacher conference meetings and staff meetings
-Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations
