Myticas’s direct client based out of Denver, CO is currently seeking a Clinical Application/Content Analyst for a 100% remote contract position.

Job Responsibilities:

The Health Language (HL) group at client currently seeking a Clinical Application Analyst to assist and support external clients as directed by the Professional Services team. This position offers a unique opportunity to create medical terminology content for products deployed to health insurance companies, hospital systems and medical providers, and healthcare IT vendors. We are seeking a highly motivated person with extensive mapping experience using SNOMED, RxNORM and/or LOINC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and maintain mappings between local terms and standard terminologies (SNOMED CT, ICD-9, ICD-10, RxNORM, and LOINC)
• Must have the ability to learn new technologies and apply learning with little supervision
• Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
• 3-5 years terminology mapping experience required
• Minimum 3-5 years medical coding, or terminology implementation experience preferred
• Experience with ICD-10 and/or SNOMED required
• Experience with RxNORM and/or LOINC required

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

• Technical computer skills required;
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required;
• Strong organizational skills required;
• Strong team-work focus required;
• Time management skills and ability to work independently required;
• Basic database knowledge preferred
• Must be able to manage deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to embrace new opportunities, and has a passion for technology;
• Proactive, rather than reactive, at solving problems.
• Knowledge in LOINC a plus
• Education: CPC, CPC-H, CCS, CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA certification required – OR
• Clinical background (nursing or medical) – OR
• Registered Nurse, Laboratory Professional, Pharmacist, RN, LPN, Nurse Practitioner, Informatics
