Job Description

The Senior Logistics Analyst partners closely with the group supervisor to identify business solutions and drive strategic process development while supporting daily functional goals including the coordination of all carriers and third- party providers for both domestic and international shipments.

This role develops strong relationships across the organization to support distribution and logistics initiatives at the Site, Division, Group, and Corporate levels.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develops variety of s with varying levels of complexity, including s from SAP, CT Global, Baan and various transportation suppliers’ databases to find opportunities to drive cost reduction, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.
• Delivers analysis of the current transportation network to uncover and suggest areas of opportunity.
• Review, prepare, and communicate shipment locations, estimated time of arrivals, and confirmed completion with POD’s.
• Maintains communications process with the various functions that need / impact logistics services such as weather updates, holiday schedules, and end of quarter activities.
• Supports the documentation of standard work and continuous improvements that align site and functional objectives.
• Acts as a role model with a positive approach and a passion to achieve short- term and long-term goals. Supports continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with the supervisor by applying the PPI Business System processes to improve daily operations and minimize the amount of paperwork and clerical effort to support functional activities.
• Ensures swift and accurate completion of customer orders, generates daily s, maintains documentation (including export-related correspondence), and responds to delivery issues.
• Reviews in-transit s to proactively communicate and correct delays.
• Develops positive relationships with third-party providers, and ensures consistent achievement of expectations / requirements.
• Follows procedures to align with corporate and regulatory export laws and regulations. Partners closely and establishes rapport with employees across a variety of departments and functions within the facility and with external customers.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities, as needed.
• Travel between sites or to 3rd party providers as needed. (less than 10%)

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :

Bachelors degree preferred. Associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business management, or similar field;

with10 years of directly related work experience may be substituted.

• Knowledge of transportation, warehouse, and distribution processes and procedures.
• Familiar with DOT regulations. Highly-developed analytical skills.
• Able to use Excel and business systems to create and analyze metrics, and deliver data-driven solutions to the organization.
• Strong leadership.
• SAP EWM Experience preferred.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong time awareness and focus on resolving customer and company issues
• Has knowledge, training or experience in Lean; or, has strong capability to gain knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal focus.

Physical Demands :

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Requires full range of body motion with ability to stand, bend, stretch, reach and kneel

Ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs; occasionally lift 40 lbs.
