Payroll / Accounts Payable Accountant

We are currently seeking a full time Payroll / Accounts Payable Accountant. This position is a remote / work from home position and will work closely with the small finance team to provide accurate and timely information to management, as well as support our various kitchen, retail, and delivery operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Payroll

• Process new employee packages / enter payroll data in ADP Workforce Now
• Verify / process employee hourly timecard information
• Verify salaried compensation for bi-monthly payrolls
• Work with outside benefits administrator to add / delete employee insurance coverage
• Generate quick calcs and manual checks as necessary
• Process changes in pay rates, tax withholdings, insurance deductions and miscellaneous withholdings in payroll software
• Process bi-monthly payroll for 150+ hourly and salaried employees
• Set up employee vacation and sick time

Accounts Payable

• Pull invoices from vendor websites and enter in accounting system, coding to the proper g/l account and reporting unit, and electronically attach invoices to system entries
• Process company credit card charges and reconcile to card provider balances
• Process monthly rent payments to various landlords
• Pull vendor statements and reconcile to company records

Qualifications / Requirements:

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• 10 key by touch, good typing skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Attention to detail / accuracy
• Strong written / verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills / ability to work efficiently in a high volume / busy environment
• Passion for providing great customer service to internal and external customers
• Ability to meet deadlines

• Aptitude for multi-tasking
• Experience with QuickBooks and ADP Online Payroll Software a plus

Education / Experience:

5+ years of related experience or 3+ year of related experience and Associates Degree in Accounting required.
